Over 35 years, our parish has grown from 500 families celebrating weekly Mass in Freedom Elementary School to a thriving community of 3,400 families; taking part in 90+ ministries and representing one of the largest single parishes in the Archdiocese of Cincinnati.

2024

Fall of 2022 began a $1.3 million dollar campaign to build and furnish a new community room and meeting room. Completion expected by end of year.

2018

St. Max establishes an international relationship with St. Patrick’s, Soroti Uganda - dedicated to a mutual sharing of gifts within the Body of Christ.

2011

Church installs improved sound system with acoustical panels, an outdoor stations of the cross, and Knights of Columbus install ‘Rachel’ statue on church grounds.

2003

On September 14, 2003, St. Max broke ground for new offices off of the gathering space and officially moved in July of 2004.

2001

A $5.5 million dollar campaign is completed, and on December 23, 2001, Archbishop Daniel Pilarczyk presided over the dedication Mass of our new church.

1994

Franciszek Gajowniczek, the prisoner for whom St. Maximilian Kolbe gave his life, visited the parish. It was his goal to visit all parishes dedicated to St. Maximilian Kolbe.

1992

With the completion of the parish rectory in 1991, the parish offices moved into the basement of the rectory.

On November 22, the dedication and first Mass was said in the new parish center.

1989

On July 6, 1989 the Archdiocese of Cincinnati announced the founding of a new parish, Archbishop Pilarczyk chose St. Maximilian Kolbe, WWII Polish martyr, as the patron saint.
