Day of Prayer

For the Legal Protection of Unborn Children

Wednesday, January 22

On this National Day of Prayer, we invite you to join us in fasting and praying for the more than 62 million innocent lives which have been lost to abortion. Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament will be available for 24 hours beginning at 7:00 PM, January 21 and closing with a holy hour and Benediction on January 22, 6-7 PM. Following Benediction, please join us for a talk by Meg Carnahan, Senior Director of Womenā€™s Services at Elizabethā€™s New Life Center.

  • January 22 marks the anniversary of the 1973 Supreme Court ruling Roe vs. Wade decision that legalized abortion in our country. While that decision was overturned on June 24, 2022, the state of Ohio voted to amend its constitution to legalize abortion through all nine months of pregnancy on November 7, 2024. Before this change to the constitution, abortions were legal in Ohio through twenty and a half weeks.

January 22 continues to be a day to fast and pray for the more than 62 million innocent lives which have been lost to abortion. We pray for healing of the women and men affected by that decision, for the end of abortion, and for the conversion of hearts for all who are pro-choice.
