Mileage Tracker Booklet
-
Mileage trackers booklets will be available in the gathering space after all Masses the weekend of November 9-10. If you are not able to pick your tracker booklet that weekend, the parish office will have extras available.
-
Just one mileage tracker per family. All family members are encouraged to combine miles or minutes.
-
Yes! For example, if a family of five walks 5 miles each, this would be equivalent to 25 miles. Or if a family of five prays 10 minutes each, this would be the equivalent to 50 minutes.
-
Extra booklets are available in the parish office, or the tracker itself is available to download below.
A mileage map of St. Max is available to assist your families as you accompany the Holy Family to Bethlehem. The map outlines a 1-mile walk around campus that your family is welcome to follow on your journey to the Inn. The walking for the event can occur anywhere, not just around the church loop. The church loop is just a chance for us to get a mile together as a parish.

Prayer Resources
-
Hail and blessed be the hour and moment in which the Son of God was born of the most pure Virgin Mary, at midnight, in Bethlehem, in the piercing cold. In that hour vouchsafe, I beseech Thee, O my God, to hear my prayer and grant my desires through the merits of Our Savior Jesus Christ, and of His blessed Mother. Amen.
-
God of hope, who brought love into this world,
be the love that dwells between us.
God of hope, who brought peace into this world,
be the peace that dwells between us.
God of hope, who brought joy into this world,
be the joy that dwells between us.
God of hope, the rock we stand upon,
be the centre, the focus of our lives
always, and particularly this Advent time. -
God,
we journey with you,
to Bethlehem’s stable
and a new-born King,
ears attuned
to the song of angels,
eyes alert
for Bethlehem’s star.
Forgive us
if on our journey
if we are distracted
by the tempting offers
of this world.
Keep our hearts aflame
with the hope
of Christmas,
and the promise
of a Saviour. Amen -
This Advent-time
we remember Mary and Joseph,
giving thanks for their faithfulness,
courage and obedience,
stepping out into the unknown
in the strength of your Spirit,
playing their part
in the fulfilment of your plan
to bring your prodigal people
home again.
We pray that their example
might be the pattern of our lives,
that when your gentle whisper
breaks through the clamour of this world
and into our small corner,
we might be ready to listen,
and having listened, to act. Amen.
