Religious Formation for Youth & Children

As someone from the family lights the newly baptized child’s candle from the Easter candle. Receive the light of Christ… Parents and godparents, this light is entrusted to you to be kept burning brightly. This child of yours has been enlightened by Christ. He (she) is to walk always as a child of the light. May he (she) keep the flame of faith alive in his (her) heart. When the Lord comes, may he (she) go out and meet Him with all the saints in the heavenly Kingdom.

Welcome to St. Max faith formation for children and youth.  We are happy to assist you in your role as primary educators of your children in the faith.  We offer school-year faith formation opportunities from preschool through middle school.  Visit the fields below to learn more about our 2017-18 formation opportunities for your family.

Sacrament Preparation

Sacrament preparation at St. Max is separate from religious formation classes.  If your children do NOT attend a Catholic School or are not homeschooled with an approved Catholic curriculum, then they are expected to be in religious formation classes in order to prepare for the sacraments.  ALL Questions regarding sacraments can be directed to Jeremy Helmes, Pastoral Associate for Worship & Sacraments, or 513-777-4322 ext. 103.
For more information about Sacraments including Baptism1st Penance/Communion, and Confirmation, please visit their respective pages.

VIRTUS Child Protection

All adults who work with children on a regular basis need to have a background check and attend the VIRTUS Child Protection Workshop.  Pre-register for a workshop and obtain your background check at VIRTUS.  Contact Ruth Trentman in the Parish office to get a Fastrax token to pay for your background check.

An approval letter must be received by the parish BEFORE volunteer work can begin.  Click the picture above for more information.
