Saint Max Church

“For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” Matt 18:20. This year, our prayer has been that our ministry would support and encourage couples who are ‘thirsting for more together’. We have spent many months planning a variety of gatherings for married couples of our parish from the newly married to the well-seasoned, from the purely Catholic to the mixed (hey, you can even invite and bring your non-catholic neighbors to our events!), from the well catechized to well…the rest of us. We recognize that while we strive to have holy marriages, they are far from perfect. Still, we have hope!! We have created places and times for married couples to come together in a catholic setting to help and support each other in learning about and living God’s plan for our marriages.

Upcoming Meetings 2023-24

The St. Max Marriage Enrichment ministry meets once a month on Fridays from 7-9PM in the St. Patrick’s Conference Room. Our upcoming gatherings are:

January 12

February 16

March 15

April 19

We will be using Banquet of Love by Jim and Maureen Otremba. Their course ‘examines the entire Mass as a model for married life. From the Introductory Rites all the way through to the Concluding Rites, couples will look at the elements of the Mass and see how, as a couple, they can be present to with each other in Marriage, a model given to us the Eucharistic Liturgy.’

Your ministry team members are: Ted and Marlene Doughman, Dan and Debby Kellner, Esau and Jeanne Borja, and Brian and Maribeth Gieseke.

We hope you can join us for a couples night out!
