Welcome Ministry

About Welcome Ministry

Love one another as I have loved you.

-John 15:12

The primary mission of the Welcome Ministry is to provide a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors and new members of the parish.  The Welcome Ministry promotes fellowship by integrating new members into the life of the parish, beginning with an invitation for newly-registered parishioners to attend an upcoming Welcome meal and tour, held after Mass 5 times per year.

In addition, monthly Fellowship Weekends featuring a coffee and donuts reception are held after Masses, usually once a month.  Different ministries at St. Max host Fellowship Weekend as an opportunity to showcase their ministry.

Mentor Family Ministry pairs up new members with existing St. Max families to help the new families get to know St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish.  If you are interested in being introduced to a Mentor Family, or would like to be a Mentor Family, we would love to pair you up.  Please contact: WelcomeMinistry@saint-max.org

If you are interested in becoming a member of Welcome Ministry, we meet on the first Thursday of the month in Room 7 at 7:00 PM.  If you are a Ministry leader at St. Max and wish to host a fellowship weekend or if you are new to the parish, please contact Cathie Lower for more information.
