Coordinator of Christian Initiation

Thriving parish of 3,100 households seeks experienced pastoral minister to coordinate formation of families for the sacraments of Baptism (infant and RCIA), First Penance and First Communion, and Confirmation (adolescent & adult). As part of the parish staff, the CCI provides guidance and oversight to parishioner teams who work with candidates preparing for these sacraments. Complete description available upon request. Full-time, 35 hours a week. Master’s degree in pastoral ministry, theology, or related fields preferred.

Children’s Formation Minister

Thriving parish of 3,100 households seeks a pastoral minister to coordinate preparation of families for the sacraments of infant Baptism, First Penance and First Communion, as well as to support Kindergarten classroom catechists and parents in the shared role of bringing children into a closer relationship with God.  Responsibilities will include developing, planning, and implementing hands-on, manipulative style catechesis opportunities for early childhood students. As part of the parish staff, this minister provides guidance and oversight to parishioner teams who work with parents and children preparing for sacraments, and support to volunteer catechists. Complete description available upon request. Part-time, 16-20 hours a week, and during the school year, requires evening and weekend hours, including Sunday mornings. Bachelor’s degree or certificate in pastoral ministry preferred, and experience/training in special need education is a plus.
