2021 Advent & Christmas Schedule

MASSES FOR THE LORD’S DAY

Saturday – 4:30 PM
Sunday –  8:00 AM, 10:00 AM, 12:00 Noon

WEEKDAY MASSES
Monday through Saturday – 8:30 AM
Tuesday and Thursday - 6:30 AM
The Rosary is prayed 30 minutes before all Masses and the Divine Mercy Chaplet is prayed after all Masses.

SACRAMENT OF PENANCE
Individual Confessions:
Tuesdays - after 6:30 AM Mass
Thursdays – after 8:30 AM Mass & at 6:00 PM 
Saturdays – after 8:30 AM Mass & at 3:00 PM
Thursday, December 9 – 7:15 AM - 8:00 PM (a priest will be available in the confessional all day)
Monday, December 13 - 7:00 PM - Communal Penance Service at St. John the Evangelist, West Chester
Tuesday, December 21 - 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM
No confessions Saturday, December 25.

LIGHT THE ADVENT WREATH AT MASS

EUCHARISTIC ADORATION
Our Blessed Sacrament Chapel is open continuously for private prayer in the Presence of Our Lord.
Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament
Mondays during Advent - after 8:30 AM Mass until 5:00 PM (with Benediction*). Sign up for an hour here.
Thursdays - after 8:30 AM Mass until 7:00 PM (with Benediction*)
First Friday Exposition (December 3) - after 8:30 AM Mass until 7:00 PM (with Benediction*).
Thursday, December 23 - Exposition ends at 10:30 AM
*Benediction typically begins 15 minutes prior to the close of the hour.

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 27 - ADVENT OPEN HOUSE
12:00 PM - 2:00 PM
Blessed straw is available at the open house, as well as in the gathering space beginning this weekend.

WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 8 – IMMACULATE CONCEPTION OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY
Holy Day of Obligation
Masses - 6:30 AM, 8:30 AM and 7:30 PM*
On this solemnity, those who wish to make or renew their consecration to the Blessed Virgin Mary will be able to do so after the 8:30 AM and 7:30 PM Masses. *Incense used

BLESSING OF BABY JESUS
At the weekend Masses on December 18 & 19, the Fourth Sunday of Advent, all are invited to bring the figure of the Infant Jesus from your home crèche to be blessed.

DECEMBER 25 - THE NATIVITY OF THE LORD
Holy Day of Obligation
Friday, December 24 – 3:00 PM - Church and Gym, 5:30 PM, 9:00 PM
Saturday, December 25 – Midnight*,10:00 AM*, Noon*
Caroling will precede all Masses.
Lessons and Carols will begin at 11:30 PM before Midnight Mass

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 25 
No 8:30 AM Mass
No Confessions
No 4:30 PM Mass


DECEMBER 26 – THE FEAST OF THE HOLY FAMILY
Regular Sunday Mass schedule.

SATURDAY, JANUARY 1 – SOLEMNITY OF MARY, MOTHER OF GOD
Not a Holy Day of Obligation this year
Friday, December 31 - 4:30 PM (Vigil Mass) & 11:00 PM Eucharistic Holy Hour (Benediction at Midnight)
Saturday, January 1 – 8:30 AM

EPIPHANY OF THE LORD – JANUARY 2
Regular Sunday Mass schedule.
Incense will be used at the 10:00 AM and Noon Masses.

BAPTISM OF THE LORD – JANUARY 9
Regular Weekend Mass schedule.
